A significant breakthrough has been made in the case of the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast, as a key suspect has been apprehended by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The suspect, identified as Shabbir, was captured in Bellary district in Karnataka, according to sources within the anti-terror agency.

Suspect in Custody

The ongoing interrogation of Shabbir is crucial in unravelling the details of the explosion that left ten people injured at the popular cafe in Bengaluru on March 1. The blast, triggered by an IED bomb using a timer, shocked the nation and raised concerns about security measures in public spaces.

Resemblance to Main Suspect

Reports from the PTI news agency suggest that Shabbir bears “some resemblance” to the main suspect captured in various CCTV videos related to the incident. The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in connecting the dots and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Trail of Evidence

The investigation into the Rameshwaram Cafe blast has been meticulous, with CCTV footage playing a crucial role in identifying the suspects. A photo of the main suspect, believed to be around 30 years old, showed him carrying a plate of idli inside the cafe, moments before the explosion.

Subsequent CCTV videos revealed the suspect changing his clothes and appearance multiple times following the blast, indicating a deliberate attempt to evade capture. The NIA had announced a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect, highlighting the urgency of the case.

Reopening of Rameshwaram Cafe

Despite the harrowing incident, the Rameshwaram Cafe reopened its doors on March 8, showing resilience in the face of adversity. The local community has come together to support the business and its patrons, sending a message of unity and solidarity.

As the investigation progresses and more details emerge, the authorities are hopeful of bringing all those involved in the blast to justice. The arrest of Shabbir marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of truth and justice for the victims of the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast.
