Accident – Death – Obituary News : **Israel’s Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has sparked outrage after praising the killing of a 12-year-old Palestinian boy by an Israeli border guard in the Shuafat refugee camp near occupied east Jerusalem.**

In a Telegram post, Ben Gvir, known for his extreme views even within Israel’s far-right ruling coalition, commended the soldier for his actions, stating, “I support the soldier who killed the terrorist who tried to shoot fireworks at him and the troops – this is exactly how you should act against terrorists – with determination and precision.”

The incident, captured on video, shows the young Palestinian boy, identified as Rami al-Halhouli, playing with fireworks before being fatally shot by the border guard. Despite claims by Israeli officials that the shooting was in response to a “violent disturbance,” residents of the camp stated that the fireworks posed no threat to the soldiers.

Following the shooting, Halhouli was rushed to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital’s trauma unit, where he was pronounced dead. The Israeli police maintained that there were no casualties among the deployed Israeli forces.

In a shocking turn of events, Ben Gvir called for the soldier responsible for the boy’s death to be awarded and shielded from investigation by the Department of Internal Police Investigations (DIPI). He even went as far as to criticize the DIPI for questioning the officer, emphasizing his unwavering support for the soldier and his colleagues.

The killing of al-Halhouli is just one of several recent incidents in the West Bank involving Israeli forces. In Al-Jib, northwest of Jerusalem, a man and a child were shot and killed, while in Jenin, two Palestinians lost their lives and four others were wounded in clashes with Israeli forces.

Eyewitnesses in Jenin reported a heavy presence of Israeli armed vehicles and bulldozers in the city, escalating tensions and leading to further violence. The situation in the region remains volatile, with ongoing clashes and casualties on both sides.

As the conflict continues to escalate, the international community calls for a peaceful resolution and an end to the cycle of violence that has claimed the lives of innocent civilians. The tragic loss of young lives like Rami al-Halhouli highlights the urgent need for dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further bloodshed in the region..
