Israeli Forces Raid Towns in the West Bank, Leaving Five Palestinians Dead

Five Palestinians have tragically lost their lives in the occupied West Bank and east Jerusalem following deadly raids by Israeli forces. The violence escalated as Israeli troops intensified their military operations, with a particularly brutal incident occurring at the government hospital in Jenin.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the city of Jenin and its nearby refugee camp were stormed by Israeli forces in the early hours of Wednesday. The operation involved dozens of military vehicles, bulldozers, drones, and special undercover units.

Social media footage captured a chilling moment when a call from the minaret of a local mosque declared, “the volcano of resistance has been ignited…”

Disturbingly, Israeli forces even entered the grounds of the Jenin hospital, where they opened fire on civilians gathered in front of the emergency department.

Reports from WAFA confirmed that Rabie al-Noursi, in his 20s, was fatally shot during the raid, while five others sustained injuries. Another Palestinian, Mahmoud Abu al-Hayjaa, also tragically passed away due to injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire during the operation.

Violent clashes erupted between Palestinian Resistance fighters and Israeli forces, with reports of infrastructure destruction using a D9 bulldozer, including street and sewage lines.

Death at Checkpoint in Bethlehem

A Palestinian youth was fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces near the military checkpoint of Al-Nafaq, west of Beit Jala in Bethlehem, as reported by WAFA.

The Israeli military alleged that the Palestinian attempted to carry out a stabbing attack against soldiers at the checkpoint, leading to the fatal shooting.

Witnesses recounted how the occupation forces left the youth to bleed out without providing any first aid, leading to his tragic death.

Furthermore, Israeli soldiers closed the checkpoint on both sides, intensifying inspections of vehicles and citizens’ IDs.

Tragic Incident in Al-Jib, Northwest of Jerusalem

In another heart-wrenching event, a Palestinian youth and a 16-year-old child lost their lives, while three others suffered injuries after Israeli forces opened fire near the town of Al-Jib, northwest of Jerusalem, according to WAFA.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed treating two fatalities and three injured individuals at the checkpoint outside the town.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health revealed that the victims were rushed to the Palestinian Medical Complex in Ramallah, identified as Abdullah Mamoun Assaf, 16, and Zaid Ward Khalaifeh, 23.

Sniper Attack Claims Child’s Life

Earlier on Tuesday evening, a 13-year-old boy named Rami Hamdan al-Halhuli was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the Shuafat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem.

Israeli occupation forces alleged that the boy had fired fireworks at them, leading to the fatal shooting, as reported by Al-Jazeera.

Hamas, the Palestinian Resistance movement, issued a statement claiming that al-Halhuli was targeted by a “sniper.”

WAFA reported that the Jerusalem governorate confirmed al-Halhuli’s tragic passing shortly after being shot, with Israeli forces later raiding the vicinity of his family home.

Mass Arrests and Settler Attacks

Amid these tragic incidents, Israeli forces conducted widespread arrests across the West Bank, detaining six Palestinians during a large-scale raid, as reported by the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

PPS detailed that Israeli forces targeted the village of Arora, northwest of Ramallah, resulting in the arrest of a Palestinian man. Additionally, five individuals, including a child, were apprehended in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, according to WAFA.

Moreover, on Tuesday, at least 25 Palestinians, including former detainees, were arrested across the West Bank, highlighting the ongoing cycle of arrests and detainment in the region.

With tensions running high, illegal Jewish settlers launched attacks on Palestinian villages in Nablus, causing extensive damage to property and livelihoods. The escalating violence underscores the urgent need for peace and stability in the region.
