Tragic Discovery in Kwara State
Residents of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, were left in shock after the dismembered body of a tricyclist, identified as Musbau, was discovered in a yet-to-be-completed building in the Oko-Olowo area. Musbau had been reported missing by his family, sparking a desperate search that tragically ended with the gruesome discovery.
A Horrifying Find
Musbau’s head, two wrists, private parts, and buttocks had been severed from his body when his corpse was found. The owner of the building where the body was discovered alerted the Nigeria Police station in Oloje, Ilorin West Local Government Area, when he arrived to carry out repairs.
A Community in Mourning
The chairman of the tricycle park where Musbau plied his trade, Mallam Gafari Imam, confirmed the incident and expressed disbelief at the heinous crime. Family members and colleagues of the victim sought solace in prayer, gathering at the family home to pray for justice and closure.
Police Investigation Underway
Authorities have detained the owner of the building where the crime took place, as well as one of Musbau’s friends, as part of the ongoing investigation. Efforts to reach the police for a statement on the case were unsuccessful, as the police spokesperson did not respond to calls or messages.
