Tragic Three-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Pierceton Man in Kosciusko County, Indiana

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a Pierceton man lost his life in a devastating three-vehicle crash that occurred early Wednesday morning in Kosciusko County, Indiana.

The incident took place at approximately 5:40 a.m. on US-30, just west of County Road 450 East. The crash involved a Chevrolet S-10 pickup, a Buick Rendezvous, and a GMC Acadia, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

According to reports, the crash was triggered by a vehicle that was partially obstructing the left westbound lane and the median due to a flat tire. Despite the efforts of the GMC and Buick drivers to slow down, the S-10 failed to stop in time and collided with the Buick, propelling it into the rear of the Acadia.

Tragically, the driver of the S-10 has been identified as 58-year-old Jay King from Pierceton. He was rushed to the hospital following the crash but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

Thankfully, no other injuries were reported from the incident. The driver of the Buick, an 84-year-old woman from Pierceton, and the driver of the Acadia, a 30-year-old man from Florida, escaped unscathed.

At present, the Kosciusko County Fatal Team is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash in an effort to determine the root cause of this tragic event.
