Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident That Rocked Lucknow

On a fateful Sunday night, a small two-room accommodation at K2 Park in Mahanagar turned into a scene of sorrow and despair. Dharmendra Pal, a 27-year-old gardener, met with a tragic end when he was fatally run over by a reckless driver while out on his bicycle. His pregnant wife, Rinki, and other family members had to travel to Gonda for his final rites, leaving behind an empty space that once bustled with life.

Lives of both families have turned into a nightmare after the over-speeding car driven by a jeweller hit the cyclist (gardener) and then a two-wheeler (driven by the sales manager) – both residents of Mahanagar. (Pic for representation)

Nandkumar Trivedi, a 30-year-old area sales manager, also fell victim to the same rash driver that night. Venturing out to buy a diaper for his child, he too lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run accident near Midland Hospital in Mahanagar. His wife, Deepali, and young son, Shibu, were left to navigate a future without him.

A Community Shattered by Tragedy

The lives of both families were irreversibly shattered by the over-speeding car that took away their loved ones in a heartbeat. The driver, identified as jeweller Prateek Jaiswal, left a trail of devastation in Mahanagar that night, causing immeasurable grief and loss.

As news of the accident spread, a pall of gloom enveloped the neighbourhood. Friends and acquaintances of the victims, like Karan Yadav and Jitendra Kumar, were left reeling from the senseless tragedy that unfolded before their eyes.

The Hunt for Justice

Despite the driver being identified through CCTV footage as jewellery businessman Prateek Jaiswal, he remains at large, evading the grasp of the law. The police, led by SHO AK Mishra, are diligently working to apprehend the culprit and bring him to justice for his reckless actions.

The community, still in shock and mourning, grapples with the aftermath of the incident as they seek closure and accountability for the lives lost in a moment of senseless violence.

A Call for Change

The tragic incident has reignited discussions about road safety and the need for stricter penalties for hit-and-run cases. With confusion lingering over proposed amendments to the Motor Vehicles Act, the community is calling for decisive action to prevent such senseless tragedies from recurring in the future.

As the families of Dharmendra Pal and Nandkumar Trivedi come to terms with their irreplaceable losses, the city of Lucknow stands united in grief, demanding justice and accountability for those taken too soon.
