Tragic Shooting Incident in Vineland, New Jersey

Over the weekend, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Cumberland County, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man. The incident took place at the Asselta Acres Apartments located on Axtell Avenue in Vineland in the early hours of Saturday morning, March 9th.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Vineland Police Department discovered Dashon Lee in the parking lot of the apartment complex, suffering from gunshot wounds. Lee was rushed to Inspira Medical Center in Vineland but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

Suspect at Large

The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office has identified 31-year-old Angel A. Aguero, a resident of West Chestnut Avenue in Vineland, as the primary suspect in the shooting. Aguero has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun.

Authorities are currently on the lookout for Aguero, who is considered armed and dangerous. The U.S. Marshals Service has been enlisted to assist in the search for the suspect, and they urge the public not to approach Aguero if spotted.
