Tragic Accident Claims Life of Tennessee Man on I-26

Vehicle overturns in fatal crash near Saluda exit
SALUDA—A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Tuesday, 12th March, as a single motor-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Tennessee man on I-26 East.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the tragedy occurred around 2 p.m. near Exit 54, close to the scenic town of Saluda. The driver, identified as Daniel Claeys, a 68-year-old from Knoxville, Tennessee, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to overturn.
During the chaos, Claeys was ejected from the vehicle and tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The eastbound lanes of I-26 were temporarily shut down to allow officials to clear the wreckage, with traffic resuming its flow approximately two hours later.
