ON August 27 at 10:58 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a shooting outside a residence in the 16600-block of 19 Avenue. Police found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 37-year-old Troy Michael Regnier of Surrey.

On March 12, 2024, the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) laid a charge of second-degree murder against 38-year-old Justin Bos in relation to Regnier’s homicide.

“IHIT’s investigative team remained committed to this investigation over the past 18 months.  We hope that this charge provides some solace to his family,” said IHIT Cpl. Sukhi Dhesi on Tuesday.

As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released, he added.
