Details of the Accident
Four people lost their lives and three others were injured in a tragic accident that occurred on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chandina upazila in Comilla. The incident took place early in the morning at around 6 am on Tuesday.
Victims Identified
The deceased individuals have been identified as Rafiqul Islam, Monir Hossain, Habibur Rahman, and Akhter Hossain. They tragically lost their lives in the accident.
Sequence of Events
Omar Faruk Mollah, in-charge of the Eliotganj Highway police outpost, reported that a truck carrying fish from Noakhali to Dhaka overturned after colliding with another truck. The impact of the collision led to the tragic outcome.
Medical Attention
The injured individuals were swiftly taken to the Chandina Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, four of the injured victims could not be saved and succumbed to their injuries.
Police Response
The authorities have taken necessary actions, with the bodies of the deceased being kept at the Eliotganj police outpost. Additionally, the truck involved in the accident has been seized for further investigation.
Family Notification
Once the legal procedures are completed, the bodies of the victims will be handed over to their respective families. The entire community is mourning the loss of these individuals in this tragic incident.
