Drug Sting in Carbondale Leads to Arrest of Man with Suspected Fentanyl

The Carbondale Police Department received a tip from a confidential source on February 17, pointing them towards Ryan Hilbert, a 28-year-old resident of Carbondale, who was allegedly selling narcotics in the area.
Acting on this information, the police set up a fake drug sale to catch Hilbert in the act. Upon his arrest, Hilbert confessed to carrying a methamphetamine pipe and a bag of crystal meth. However, the discovery did not end there. A thorough search of Hilbert’s belongings revealed the shocking find of 10 bags of suspected fentanyl and a syringe.
