Tragic Collision Claims Life of Woman in Palmdale

In a devastating turn of events, a woman lost her life in a two-vehicle collision in Palmdale, California. The incident took place on westbound State Route 18, just west of 263rd Street East, late on a Friday night.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash involved a 2020 Ram travelling eastbound on State Route 18 and a 2018 Ford heading westbound. The two vehicles collided, resulting in fatal injuries for the driver of the Ford, a woman in her 50s from Lake Balboa.

At this time, the identity of the victim is being withheld by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner until her relatives have been notified. The driver of the Ram, identified as 43-year-old James Michael Wolfe of Palmdale, was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment following the crash.
