Man Killed in Shooting at Richmond City Hall Bus Stop

Richmond, Virginia – The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred at a bus stop in front of Richmond City Hall on East Broad Street. The victim, 33-year-old Vincent Robinson, Jr. of Richmond, was found with a gunshot wound at a Greater Richmond Transit Company bus stop on the 900 block of East Broad Street.

Police Respond to Shooting Incident

Richmond Police officers rushed to the scene at around 7:48 a.m. on Friday, March 8, following a report of a shooting. Despite their efforts, Robinson succumbed to his injuries at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center shortly after the incident.

Suspected Shooter Still at Large

The suspected shooter is still on the run, with police actively searching for him. Described as a Black man, possibly with a short beard underneath a face covering, the suspect was last seen wearing a distinctive black and white hooded jacket, black white and red FILA sneakers, blue jeans, and sunglasses.

According to reports, the suspect approached the bus stop, shot Robinson, and then fled west on East Broad Street before turning south. The last sighting of the suspect was at the intersection of South 4th Street and East Cary Street.
