Hyderabad: A NRI man has shocked the community by allegedly murdering his wife from Hyderabad in Australia. The man, identified as Ashok Raju, is said to have dumped the body of his wife, Shweta, in a roadside dustbin before returning to India to hand over their son to the deceased’s family.
Details of the Incident
The tragic incident unfolded in Victoria, Australia, where the couple resided with their 4-year-old son. Shweta, a pharmacist by profession, had moved to Australia in pursuit of her career in 2009. She married Ashok Raju in 2012, despite facing opposition due to caste differences.
According to Shweta’s parents, the last contact they had with their daughter was on the 5th of this month. They mentioned that Shweta had confided in them about facing domestic violence from her husband and planned to file a complaint against him.
Confession and Surrender
Ashok Raju has reportedly confessed to the murder, claiming that a heated argument between them led to Shweta’s death due to suffocation. He admitted to disposing of her body in a dustbin in Buckley, a deserted area located 82 km from Victoria city.
Shweta’s father, Balishetty Goud, is eager to have his daughter’s body brought back to India for the final rites. He has accused Ashok Raju of committing the heinous crime and wants justice for his daughter.

The family of the deceased is seeking legal action against Ashok Raju for the brutal murder of Shweta. They are determined to ensure that he faces the consequences of his actions and that justice prevails for their beloved daughter.
