Tragic Incident Unfolds at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Hisar, Haryana
Heartbreaking news emerged from the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) in Hisar, Haryana, as a professor allegedly took his own life and that of his eight-year-old daughter on March 11.
The 35-year-old professor, Sandeep Goyal, a resident of Narwana, Haryana, had been battling clinical depression for some time. The shocking incident occurred at the university campus, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.
On that fateful day, Goyal left his residence with his daughter, Sanaya, on his scooter. As hours passed without their return, his wife grew concerned and went to the university to search for them. What she discovered upon reaching the campus would haunt her forever.
Upon finding Goyal’s scooter parked outside the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology office, but the door locked from inside, the alarm was raised. After breaking open the door, a horrifying sight awaited them – the lifeless bodies of the professor and his daughter in a pool of blood.
Local authorities, including the Hisar Superintendent of Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Registrar, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, rushed to the scene to investigate the tragic incident. Goyal had been a respected Assistant Professor at LUVAS since 2016, where he dedicated his career to veterinary studies.
It was revealed that Goyal had been undergoing treatment for his depression and had shown suicidal tendencies. Colleagues mentioned that he was actively seeking psychotherapy to cope with his mental health challenges. The police are currently gathering evidence and interviewing individuals connected to the case, including Goyal’s family.
