The Tragic Shooting Incident at a Tropicana Convenience Store in Las Vegas

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a shooting took place at a convenience store located on East Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 5, in the 5000 block of East Tropicana Avenue, sending shockwaves through the community.

Identification of the Victims

The Clark County coroner has identified the victims of this senseless act of violence as Rona Ah-Foon, a 29-year-old, and Summer Lange, also 29. Both individuals tragically lost their lives due to gunshot wounds, with their deaths being ruled as homicides. Additionally, a man in his 20s was injured in the shooting but is currently in stable condition.

Details of the Shooting

According to preliminary investigations by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting was carried out by a Black male wearing a surgical mask. The suspect rode a bike up to the front of the convenience store and opened fire through the open front door. He then fled the scene, heading eastbound through the parking lot and then eastbound on Tropicana.

Appeal for Information

Law enforcement officials are urging the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the incident. LVMPD Homicide Lieutenant Jason Johansson stated, “We really do need the public’s assistance.
