Tragic Shooting Incident in Valparaiso Leads to Fatality
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a shooting in Valparaiso has resulted in the tragic death of 29-year-old Jessica Kouba. The incident took place in the 350 block of Locust Street on Friday afternoon, where multiple gunshots were reported at approximately 3:50 p.m.
Details of the Incident
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered Kouba with fatal gunshot wounds. Another individual, identified as 25-year-old Anthony Lee from Merrillville, was also present at the location and was subsequently taken into custody for further investigation.
Lee has been incarcerated on unrelated charges, including possession of marijuana and a Porter County arrest warrant. The Valparaiso Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
