A devastating incident occurred on Saturday night in the Forest Shadows community in Humble, Houston, resulting in the tragic death of 18-year-old Jarvon Coles, a beloved North Shore High School football player. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check at a short-term rental property on Fieldwick Lane, where reports of underage drinking had surfaced.

Details of the Incident

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a large gathering of 50-60 individuals inside the property and immediately called for backup. It was reported that Jarvon Coles was found unresponsive in the backyard of the house, initially believed to be experiencing a seizure. However, further examination revealed a gunshot wound to his chest.

Sheriff’s Statement

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the shooter or shooters had deliberately targeted the house party from a distance of about a block away before fleeing the scene. Despite efforts to save him, Jarvon was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
