Jamari Dejon Haskins : North Carolina Woman Wanted for Homicide Cleanup

In a disturbing turn of events, authorities in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. are on the lookout for a woman who allegedly played a role in covering up the first-degree murder of a teenager in her home. The Roanoke Rapids Police Department has identified the suspect as 34-year-old Alicia Shoulders, who is currently at large.

The incident in question involves the shooting death of 18-year-old Jamari Dejon Haskins from Chesapeake, Virginia. Haskins was fatally shot by 26-year-old Demarcus Tyvon Gilbert at Shoulders’ residence on Madison Street on Feb. 27.

Following the tragic event, Gilbert confessed to the murder and was charged with first-degree murder. However, it was revealed that Shoulders, along with two others, attempted to conceal the crime and obstruct justice.

Suspects Involved

Aside from Alicia Shoulders, the two other individuals implicated in the cover-up are identified as 18-year-old Kenneth Lamari Adkins and 30-year-old Thomas Lee Parham, both from Emporia, Virginia.

Adkins surrendered himself to authorities and faces obstruction of justice charges, while Parham was arrested in Emporia and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina for similar charges.

Allegations Against Shoulders

Investigators believe that Alicia Shoulders actively participated in covering up Haskins’ murder. She allegedly misled law enforcement officers and assisted in cleaning the crime scene to destroy evidence before their arrival.

Despite warrants being issued for her arrest, Shoulders has since vacated her residence on Madison Street and has evaded authorities. She has not responded to any attempts by investigators to contact her.
