More details have emerged regarding the tragic incident that occurred on Saturday night in Crest Hill, claiming the lives of a Plainfield couple. The victims, identified as 68-year-old Danny Cooper and his wife 53-year-old Laurie Cooper, were fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Crest Hill Police are now seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Jeep Grand Cherokee believed to be involved in the hit-and-run. The vehicle is said to have sustained damage to the front driver’s side, as evidenced by debris left at the crash site.
