Daniel Liddicoat : Authorities Identify Clark County Crash Victims: 9 Dead

In the peaceful and serene Town of Dewhurst, Wisconsin, a tragic incident occurred that shook the entire community. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office recently released an updated press statement, shedding more light on the fatal crash that took the lives of nine individuals. The incident took place on Mar. 8, 2024, on South Highway 95 by County Highway J, in the picturesque Town of Dewhurst.

The semi driver involved in the crash, identified as 51-year-old Daniel Liddicoat from Rewey, Wisconsin, tragically lost his life at the scene. Along with him, eight other individuals from Virginia were in the van and unfortunately lost their lives as well. The victims included James McCoy, Linda Byler, Lydia Byler, Orla Schrock, Ellen Schrock, Delila Schrock, Suzanna Hertzler, and a 6-month-old child.

Amidst this heart-wrenching tragedy, there was a ray of hope as a 2-year-old child survived the crash. The young survivor was rushed to the Marshfield Medical Center and thankfully, was released to their family members on March 11, 2024.

The fatal collision between the semi-trailer and the van has left the entire community in shock. As the investigation continues, the authorities are trying to piece together the events leading up to the devastating crash.
