Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Tragic Murder of Hyderabad Woman in Australian Outback

A 36-year-old woman from Hyderabad, Chaithanya Swetha Madhagani, was tragically found dead in the remote Australian town of Buckley on Saturday. Her body was discovered in a waste bin along the side of the road, a staggering 84 kilometres away from her home in Point Cook, Australia.

Suspected Involvement of Husband

Authorities suspect that Swetha’s husband may have been behind her brutal murder. Following the incident, her husband reportedly flew back to Hyderabad and handed over their child to her parents, adding a layer of suspicion to the already tragic situation.

Discovery of the Body

The discovery of Swetha’s body was made after authorities received an anonymous call alerting them to an isolated road in rural Victoria. Police found her body inside a green waste bin in Buckley, a town located about 37 kilometres west of Geelong. The crime scene was quickly established, and investigators are treating her death as suspicious.

Primary Suspect Flees to India

Swetha’s husband, Ashok, had reportedly left for India with their three-year-old son just days before her body was found. He is believed to be the primary suspect in her murder, and it is alleged that he confessed to the crime to Swetha’s parents in Hyderabad.

Community Shocked by Tragic Loss

Swetha’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through both the local community in Melbourne’s west and her hometown in Hyderabad. Praveen Kumar Thopucherla, executive chairperson of the Melbourne Telanganga Forum, expressed disbelief at the news, stating that the entire community was devastated by the loss.

Swetha was described as a very active and friendly member of the community, regularly attending events and engaging with her neighbours. Her tragic death has left those who knew her reeling from the senseless act of violence.

Remembering a Beloved Neighbor

One of Swetha’s neighbours fondly recalled her as a “very lovely, very outgoing, and friendly” individual who adored her son. She had moved to Australia as a student from AS Rao Nagar in Hyderabad and had since settled in the country after receiving citizenship.

Despite the devastating turn of events, no immediate threat to the community has been identified, according to a Victoria Police spokesperson. The investigation into Swetha’s murder continues as authorities work to bring justice to her and her grieving loved ones.
