Tragic Murder of Hyderabad Woman in Australia

A woman from Telangana’s Hyderabad was tragically found murdered in Australia on Saturday. The victim, 36-year-old Chaithanya Madhagani, was discovered in a wheelie bin on the side of a road in Buckley. She was staying with her husband and son at the time of the incident.

Police Investigation Underway

The Victoria Police have launched an investigation into the homicide. Detectives are currently examining the crime scene in Buckley, near Winchelsea, where the victim’s body was found. A second crime scene has been established at a residential address in Point Cook, believed to be linked to the murder.

Local MLA Seeks Justice for Victim

Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy met with the victim’s parents in Hyderabad to offer his support. He has written a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs to bring Madhagani’s body back to Hyderabad. Additionally, he has informed Union Minister G Kishan Reddy about the tragic incident.

Husband Confesses to Murder

Madhagani’s husband, Ashok Raj Varikuppala, allegedly confessed to killing his wife to her parents. The family had recently obtained Australian citizenship and settled in Point Cook. While investigators treat the death as suspicious, there is currently no immediate threat to the community.

Another Tragic Incident in Queensland

This heartbreaking incident comes on the heels of the recent death of another Indian-Australian woman in Queensland.
