Tragic Collision Claims Six Lives in Hyderabad
A devastating collision between a single-cab mini truck and a trailer truck on the Qazi Ahmed bypass road in Benazirabad district has left six people dead and 20 others injured. The incident occurred on Sunday, shattering the peaceful journey of a wedding party from village Bachu Rahu to Sakrand taluka.
Details of the Incident
The victims, including Afsana Solangi, Ghafooran Solangi, Abid Solangi, Muhammad Ali Solangi, Rasool Bux Solangi, and Sadoro Solangi, lost their lives in the tragic accident. Among the injured, women and children were among those who were rushed to Peoples Medical University Hospital (PMUH) for treatment, as the local taluka hospital lacked the necessary facilities to handle trauma patients.
Afsana, who was the sister of the groom Mukhtiar and Mumtaz, sons of Haroon Solangi, was part of the wedding party. The marriage festivities were abruptly halted due to the unfortunate turn of events.
Police Response and Investigation
Authorities have taken swift action by apprehending the driver and impounding his vehicle. However, an official FIR has not yet been filed by the Qazi Ahmed police regarding the incident. This has left the families of the victims and the community seeking justice and closure in the wake of this tragedy.
CM’s Directive for Support
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed his condolences and directed the district administration to provide immediate assistance to the injured individuals. He has emphasised the importance of offering support to the grieving families during this difficult time.
Separate Incident in Sakrand Taluka
In an unrelated incident in Benazirabad’s Sakrand taluka, two brothers were fatally shot and two others injured during a clash over a plot in village Maarhi Sabki. The suspect, Muhammad Jumman Sabki, has been taken into custody in connection with the killings. This tragic event has added to the sombre atmosphere in the region, highlighting the need for community unity and peace.
