Tragic Shooting Incident Takes Place in Athens Mobile Home Park

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 3-year-old child lost their life in a shooting incident that occurred at a mobile home park on Spring Valley Road in Athens, Georgia. The incident, which took place around 5:30 p.m., also resulted in another child being injured, although their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Details of the Incident

The tragic shooting left the community in shock as authorities worked to piece together what led to the senseless act of violence. While an adult was initially reported to have been injured in the incident, it was later clarified that their injuries were not related to the shooting.

Authorities moved swiftly in their investigation, leading to the arrest of 17-year-old Julian Cubillos from Lawrenceville in connection with the shooting. Cubillos faces charges of malice and felony murder, as well as four counts of aggravated assault and a violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Search for Additional Suspects

Despite the arrest of Cubillos, the investigation is ongoing, with authorities seeking to apprehend two additional suspects, 16-year-old Jayden Brown and 18-year-old Dakious Echols. Both individuals are wanted on suspicion of the same charges as Cubillos, and efforts are being made to locate them.
