Tragic Incident at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Election Meeting in Andhra Pradesh
Two individuals tragically lost their lives in separate incidents at an election gathering addressed by YSR Congress Party leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Medarametla near Addanki, located in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Details of the Incidents
One of the deceased, identified as Murali Krishna, aged 35, was a municipal worker who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away before reaching the hospital. The second individual lost their life after falling underneath a bus they were boarding.
Police Investigation
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incidents and have not yet registered a case. Allegations of a stampede occurring during the political meeting were dismissed by the police, who stated that no such incident took place.
Claims of Liquor Distribution
Earlier in the day, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alleged that liquor was distributed to ensure high attendance at YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public meeting in Addanki. A video shared by the TDP showed individuals holding liquor bottles inside a bus.
Massive Turnout at the Public Meeting
Despite the unfortunate incidents, YSR Congress Party claimed that over 15 lakh people attended the public meeting named ‘Siddham’ (ready), showcasing strong support for the party.
