The victim, M Murugan, a 37-year-old van driver hailing from Vadakku Pudur, was ferrying passengers from Achampatti to Sankarankovil town when a minor accident occurred. The situation quickly escalated, with some personnel allegedly resorting to physical violence against Murugan.
