Longmont Police Report: Saturday’s Incidents

Early Morning DUI Arrest

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a Longmont police officer made a routine traffic stop near East Third Avenue and Pace Street. The stop resulted in the arrest of a man for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hit and Run Crash

Later in the morning, officers responded to a hit and run crash near the intersection of East Third Avenue and East Ken Pratt Boulevard. The incident caused minor damage to the vehicles involved, and the investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing Incident

At 9:25 a.m., the Longmont Emergency Communications Center received a report of trespassing in the 1800 block of Main Street. Police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Deerwood Drive in the afternoon to investigate a garage burglary. After identifying a suspect, officers took a report and are actively pursuing leads in the case.

Domestic Violence Incident

The most serious incident of the day occurred at 10:33 p.m. when police were called to the 2100 block of Dexter Drive in reference to a shooting. A man was arrested on charges of domestic violence, false imprisonment, harassment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and menacing. The situation is under control, and the authorities are working to ensure the safety of all involved parties.
