Tragic Death Investigation Launched in Jefferson County, Arkansas
In a heartbreaking turn of events, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas has initiated a death investigation following the discovery of a deceased man near the picturesque Arkansas River on Sunday.
Deputies were alerted to the scene after receiving reports of a body in the water. Upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of a man, later identified as 60-year-old Andrew Hutchinson hailing from Pine Bluff.
Family members of the victim revealed that he was last seen in Jonesboro approximately a month ago on February 12, 2024. Authorities are now reaching out to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts during the period between his last sighting and the tragic discovery near the river.
The body of the deceased has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for a thorough examination to ascertain the cause of death.
