Why I’m Not a Single-Issue Voter
As an informed citizen, I cannot be considered a single-issue voter because I believe every life lost is significant. The tragic death toll from Covid-19 cannot be ignored, and I hold President Biden accountable for his policies that may have contributed to these losses. Additionally, I mourn for each Palestinian life lost due to the funding provided by the Biden administration.
The number 730,000 represents more than just a statistic to me. It symbolizes the individual stories, dreams, and potential that have been cut short. These are not mere numbers; they are human beings who are no longer with us, leaving behind grieving families and communities.
It is important to note that the cause of death for many of these individuals is still unknown at the time of this reporting. The lack of transparency and accountability in these matters is deeply troubling and raises serious concerns about the handling of these crises.
While some may try to dismiss these deaths as collateral damage or unavoidable consequences of larger policies, I refuse to accept such reasoning. Every life is precious and deserves to be valued and protected.
Therefore, I cannot in good conscience support Joe Biden for president when there are so many unanswered questions and unresolved issues surrounding these tragedies. I believe it is our duty as citizens to demand accountability and transparency from our leaders, especially when lives are at stake.
As I reflect on the impact of these deaths, I am reminded of the importance of looking beyond partisan politics and focusing on the human cost of our decisions. It is only by holding our leaders accountable and advocating for justice and compassion that we can truly honor the memory of those we have lost.
