Windsor Man Wanted for Series of Break and Enters in Tecumseh Road East Area

A city man in Windsor is currently being sought by police in connection with a string of break and enter incidents that occurred between July 2023 and February 2024. The break-ins took place at seven businesses located in the 4000-7000 blocks of Tecumseh Road East, situated between Central Avenue and Lauzon Parkway.

Details of the Incidents

According to Windsor police, the suspect, identified as Michael Scott Blythe, 57, allegedly gained entry into the properties by breaking in through rear doors or windows. Once inside, he reportedly made off with cash registers and other valuable items from the establishments.

Description of the Suspect

Michael Scott Blythe is described as a white male, standing at 5’7” with a medium build and brownish-grey hair. Authorities have also indicated that he may be driving a 2008 beige Dodge Caravan.

Charges Against Blythe

The Windsor man is facing serious charges including break and enter to commit theft over $5,000, as well as six counts of break and enter to commit theft under $5,000. In addition, Blythe is wanted for possession of break-in instruments.
