Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest in Darke County, Ohio

Authorities in Darke County, Ohio, made a significant arrest on Thursday following a drug investigation that culminated in the apprehension of a suspect.

The incident took place on March 7 when Darke County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 3600 block of State Route 49 in the scenic county of Darke.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 39-year-old Lester Bergman from Houston, Ohio, was taken into custody for further questioning.

During the investigation, K9 Bear, a trained police dog, was deployed and detected the presence of illegal narcotics or drugs in the vehicle, as stated in a press release from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Subsequent searches of the vehicle led to the discovery of several baggies containing a white powdery substance suspected to be a mixture of methamphetamine and cocaine.

As a result of the findings, Bergman is currently being held at the Darke County Jail, awaiting formal charges related to the possession and distribution of illegal substances.

Residents of Darke County are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement to help combat the spread of drugs in the community.
