Accident – Death – Obituary News : Five persons, including a young boy, tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident near Araku valley on the Loteru route. The incident occurred late Friday night when three motorbikes collided, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuring four others. The victims were en route to Nandivalasa to partake in Mahashivaratri celebrations.
The deceased have been identified as Buridi Hari (22), Ammanakanth (15) from Chinalabudu panchayat, Trinath (32), Bhargav (5), and Gubai Simhadri from Manjaguda village in Loteru panchayat. Among the injured, Kontali Mohan Rao was rushed to KGH in Vizag with severe injuries, while Killo Parasuram, Sujith Kumar from Chinalabudu, and Killo Santosh from R Dumbriguda are currently receiving treatment at Araku valley hospital.
The tragic accident took place on the Araku-Loteru route between Dummagudri and Ganjayaguda in Madala panchayat, approximately 7 km away from Araku, around 10.30 pm. The collision involved two overspeeding motorbikes in a head-on crash, with a third motorbike from Loteru village side also colliding with the fallen bikes due to poor visibility on the road and its surroundings.
In light of this unfortunate incident, an investigation is underway by Araku Circle Inspector Ch. Rudra Sekhar to determine the circumstances leading to the collision and prevent similar accidents in the future.
