On a fateful night at Khanar Chowk of Itahari sub-metropolis-12, a devastating road accident took place, resulting in the untimely demise of two individuals. The victims, identified as Bipin Dahal, aged 23, and eight-year-old Abhi Dahal, hailed from Belbari-8, Morang. The Deputy Superintendent of Police of Sunsari, Naveenkrishna Bhandari, confirmed the tragic incident.
Details of the Accident
The fatal accident occurred when a motorcycle bearing the registration number Pra. 1-02-041 P 6619, en route from Biratnagar to Itahari, was struck by a truck with the registration number Pra. 1-02-001 Ka. 4578, traveling in the opposite direction. Both Bipin and Abhi sustained severe injuries in the collision and succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, as reported by DSP Bhandari.
Driver in Custody
Following the tragic incident, the truck driver, identified as Pradeep Koirala, aged 30 and a resident of Itahari-2, was apprehended by the authorities for further legal actions. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the accident and ensure justice for the victims and their families.
