Accident – Death – Obituary News : An unfortunate incident occurred in Nuaguda village, located in Malkangiri district’s Mathili block, where an eight-year-old child lost his life and over 30 children fell ill after consuming food at a marriage feast on Wednesday night. The deceased child was identified as Magika Nali from Bandhuguda village. The sick children, aged between 7 and 12, were immediately taken to Mathili community health centre, and four of them were later transferred to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Malkangiri as their condition worsened, as per police sources.

The incident took place during a marriage function in Nuaguda village, where a large number of people from nearby villages had gathered. Most of the children fell ill after consuming the food served at the feast. The children who were admitted to the hospital are currently in a stable condition, and a team of health professionals has been sent to Nuaguda to collect food samples for laboratory testing, stated Dr. Debi Prasad Nath, who is treating the children.

In other recent news, a heartbreaking report from Gaza’s Kamal Adwan hospital revealed that 15 children have tragically passed away due to malnutrition, dehydration, and lack of medical resources. The Gaza health ministry spokesperson, Ashraf Al-Qidra, shared that the hospital’s electric generator and oxygen supply were disrupted, leading to the unfortunate deaths.
