Former Educational Assistant Arrested in Internet Child Exploitation Investigation

An adult male educational assistant from the Halton region has been taken into custody on multiple charges related to internet child exploitation. The suspect, identified as Cameron Ivens, a 42-year-old resident of Milton, Ont., was arrested by Halton Regional Police on March 7 following an extensive investigation.

Employment at Multiple Schools

According to authorities, Ivens worked as an educational assistant at four different schools in the Halton area. He was employed at P.L. Robertson, Munns, Emily Carr, and Viola Desmond public schools from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, he provided private piano lessons to children in their homes around 2015 through his company, Pitch Perfect Piano Service.

Charges Laid

The charges against Ivens include sexual assault, making child pornography, voyeurism, possession of child pornography, and exposure to a person under 16 years of age. Police have shared a photo of the accused and are urging anyone with information or potential victims to come forward.

Continued Investigation

Authorities suspect that there may be more victims connected to Ivens and are actively seeking additional information.
