A 42-year-old male educational assistant has been arrested and charged with multiple internet child exploitation offences in the Halton region. The suspect, identified as Cameron Ivens of Milton, Ont., was taken into custody on March 7 following an extensive investigation by Halton Regional Police.

Schools and Private Piano Lessons Involved

The accused individual worked as an educational assistant at four schools in the Halton region, including P.L. Robertson, Munns, Emily Carr, and Viola Desmond public schools between 2014 and 2019. In addition to his employment at these schools, Ivens also provided private piano lessons to children in their homes around 2015 through his company, Pitch Perfect Piano Service.

Charges Laid Against Ivens

Halton Regional Police have charged Cameron Ivens with a series of offences, including sexual assault, making child pornography, voyeurism, possession of child pornography, and exposure to a person under 16 years of age. The police have shared a photo of the accused and are appealing for any additional victims to come forward.
