The Tragic Plane Crash in Nashville

An Ontario couple and their three children have been identified as victims of a fatal plane crash in Nashville, Tennessee. The devastating incident took place along a Nashville highway, claiming the lives of all five people on board.

The Victims

The pilot of the single-engine plane was identified as 43-year-old Victor Dotsenko of King Township. His wife, 39-year-old Rimma, and their three children, 12-year-old David, 10-year-old Adam, and seven-year-old Emma, also tragically lost their lives in the crash.

The Investigation

Investigator Aaron McCarter of the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that the flight originated in Ontario, making stops in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Mount Sterling, Kentucky. The pilot reported engine failure to air traffic controllers and attempted to land at John C. Tune Airport in Nashville before the fatal crash occurred.

The Response

King Township Mayor Steve Pellegrini expressed his condolences to the family’s friends and relatives, acknowledging the profound impact of this heartbreaking loss on the tight-knit community. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has also assigned a representative to assist with the accident investigation led by U.S. authorities.
