The victim, 25-year-old Jasmit Badesha, hails from Mission, British Columbia, and was found shot near the parking lot of an apartment building located near Bergamot Drive and Rexdale Boulevard, just west of Islington Avenue.

Despite efforts to save him, Badesha tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene, marking the city’s 12th homicide of the year. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of a young life.
