Breaking News: Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting in Rexdale
Police have now confirmed the identity of the victim in last weekend’s tragic shooting in Rexdale.
According to Toronto Police, the victim has been identified as Jasmit Badesha, a 25-year-old man from Mission, B.C. The incident took place on Sunday at 11:37 p.m. near the parking lot of a residential building in the Bergamot Dr.-Rexdale Blvd. area.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, Badesha unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Const. Shannon Eames, when reached for comment, was unable to provide any further details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
“At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and we are unable to disclose any additional information,” Eames stated via email.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has access to video footage, such as dashcam or home surveillance recordings, to come forward with any information regarding the suspect vehicle or individuals involved in the shooting.
