Remembering Jackson Oboth: A Friend and Witness

Today, we mourn the loss of a dear friend, Jackson Oboth, who was one of the few remaining witnesses to a significant moment in my life. It was in 1998 when Jackson and I, both young journalism students at the time, had our first experiences flying in an airplane. The memory of that day has been etched in my mind, and Jackson was a vital part of it along with our mutual friend, Titus Kakembo.

The news of Jackson Oboth’s passing has left us all in shock and sadness. As we come to terms with this sudden loss, we remember him for the kind, generous, and adventurous soul that he was. Jackson’s presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and his passion for storytelling and journalism inspired many.

At this moment, the cause of Jackson’s death remains unknown. As we await further information, we hold onto the memories we shared with him and the impact he had on our lives. Jackson’s legacy will live on through the stories we tell and the moments we cherish.

As we reflect on the time we spent with Jackson, we are reminded of the importance of treasuring each moment and appreciating the people we hold dear. In a world filled with uncertainties, Jackson’s friendship and camaraderie were a source of comfort and strength.

Although Jackson may no longer be with us physically, his spirit and memory will continue to guide us. We will honor his life by carrying forward the values he embodied – integrity, compassion, and a thirst for knowledge.

As we bid farewell to our friend, Jackson Oboth, we find solace in knowing that he touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
