In a devastating incident that took place on Wednesday morning, Dennis Frick, a 65-year-old resident of Freehold, lost his life in a two-car collision on Rt. 1 north in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Details of the Collision

The fatal crash occurred at 7:08 a.m. on Rt. 1 north, just south of the Goodkind Bridge. The New Brunswick Police Department responded to the scene and found that an Infiniti had collided with a Ford pick-up truck, resulting in the tragic death of the pick-up driver, Dennis Frick.

Upon arrival, authorities pronounced Frick deceased at the scene. The driver of the Infiniti emerged from the collision unscathed.

Sequence of Events

According to police reports, the Infiniti was travelling southbound on Rt. 1 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed over the median and collided with Frick’s pick-up truck, which was heading north on Rt. 1. News 12 reported that the Infiniti landed on top of the pick-up truck upon impact.

The severity of the accident led to the closure of Rt. 1 north for several hours on Wednesday, with all lanes remaining shut until the afternoon.

Investigation and Appeal for Information

Officer Gliottone of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Alleva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic incident. They are urging anyone with relevant information or video footage of the crash to come forward.
