Tragic Electrocution Incident at Wedding Procession in Agra

In a devastating turn of events, three members of a wedding band in Agra were tragically electrocuted, with one sustaining injuries, during a procession in Saleh Nagar village in Kheragarh. The incident occurred when an iron trolley being pulled by the band members came into contact with a high-tension wire, leading to the fatal electrocution.

Eye Witness Account

Sachin, an eyewitness to the incident, bravely posted a video on social media detailing the harrowing events. He recounted how the iron trolley inadvertently made contact with the high-tension wire, resulting in the tragic deaths of three band members on the spot.

Immediate Response and Identifying the Deceased

Following the incident, local authorities and emergency services were swiftly contacted, and the injured individual was rushed to a nearby community health centre in Kheragarh. Unfortunately, doctors at the centre pronounced three of the band members as brought dead. The deceased have been identified as Achal Singh (52), Santosh (29), and Lohre (45), and their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Legal Action and Seeking Accountability

Upon receiving a complaint from the bereaved family members of the deceased, legal action is being pursued against those deemed responsible for the tragic incident. The Additional Commissioner of Police in Kheragarh, Imram Ahmad, assured that measures are being taken to hold the accountable parties liable for their negligence.

This shocking incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring safety measures are in place during public events and processions, to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring in the future.
