In a tragic incident that occurred in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, two individuals lost their lives and six others sustained critical injuries following a collision between a speeding SUV and a truck on the Patna-Buxar National Highway 922 at Bihiya Chowk.
The deceased have been identified as Vaibhav Kumar and Sabhapati Ram, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district. The injured individuals, namely Om Prakash, Shatrughan Kumar, and Nandji Paswan from Buxar, along with three others from Ballia district, were on their way to Arrah to attend a wedding ceremony.
The impact of the accident was so severe that two individuals died on the spot, while the driver and helper of the truck fled the scene. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the injured have been rushed to Sadar Hospital in Arrah for treatment.
Bihiya police station SHO Uday Bhanu Singh stated, “We have recovered the bodies and informed the family members about the unfortunate incident. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical attention.”
