Mobile, Alabama – Detective Named ‘Deputy of the Month’ for Solving I-165 Shooting Case

In a recent announcement by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Michael Pozobyt has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Deputy of the Month’. This recognition comes in light of his exceptional work on the I-165 shooting case that took place in January.

The incident unfolded on January 15th in Prichard, a city located in the southern part of Alabama. It was a harrowing scene as at least two suspects engaged in a violent confrontation, resulting in the tragic death of a 15-year-old and the injury of a nine-year-old.

Authorities revealed that the primary target of the attack was identified as T’Marvin Jones, an 18-year-old individual. The alleged shooter, Dayell Davis, aged 46, was swiftly apprehended and has since been charged with a range of serious offences.

Davis faces charges including murder, attempted murder, reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, child endangerment, and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Meanwhile, Jones has also been taken into custody and is facing charges of reckless endangerment and tampering with physical evidence, as per the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
