(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Coroner has identified the individual tragically killed in a hit-and-run collision in the early hours of Monday, March 4 on I-25 in Pueblo.

Identification of Victim

The Pueblo County Coroner made the heart-wrenching announcement on Wednesday, March 6, revealing that the victim was 57-year-old Ruben Sena. Sena was riding a moped when he was allegedly struck and fatally injured by a Jeep Cherokee that callously fled the scene.

Details of the Incident

The devastating crash occurred on southbound I-25, just north of Minnequa Avenue, at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Monday morning.

Appeal for Information

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is urging the local community to come forward with any information that may lead to the apprehension of the Jeep involved in the fatal hit-and-run. Authorities believe the vehicle to be a 2014-2018 model of unknown colour, likely sustaining damage to its front end. PPD has provided a reference photo of the type of car believed to be implicated in the incident.
