In a tragic incident that occurred in August of 2022, a man was shot and killed outside a Walmart in Macon, Georgia. The victim, 41-year-old Ronnie Albea, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 6020 Harrison Road. Two suspects approached Albea’s fiancé, demanding the keys to their vehicle. When Albea refused to hand over the keys, a fight ensued, and he was shot.

A second arrest has now been made in connection with this tragic incident. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force, arrested 20-year-old Myccho Vachion Gray. Gray was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit at a residence on Short Street. He has been charged with murder and hijacking of a motor vehicle, and is currently being held without bond.

Arrest of Elijiah Dewayne Gray

Prior to Myccho Vachion Gray’s arrest, 18-year-old Elijiah Dewayne Gray was apprehended at a home in the 200 block of Clisby Place. He had been identified as a suspect in the fatal shooting of Ronnie Albea and was charged with murder as well. In addition, Elijiah Dewayne Gray faces two counts of terroristic threats, unrelated to the shooting incident.
