In a devastating turn of events, a family in Lucknow experienced a horrific tragedy when two LPG cylinders exploded in their home, resulting in the death of five people and injuring four others. The incident occurred in the Hata Hazrat Sahab area under Kakori Police Station jurisdiction on Tuesday night.
Explosion Caused by Short Circuit
The explosion, which took place around 10.30 pm, was preceded by a fire that was believed to have been caused by a short circuit. It took the combined efforts of three fire brigade teams and local residents to extinguish the flames engulfing the house.
Efforts to Save the Family
Nine members of the family were quickly rushed to the Trauma Centre of King George Medical University for urgent medical attention. Tragically, five of them, including Mushir, his wife Husn Bano, and their young children Raiya, Uma, and Hina, succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
Survivors Hospitalised with Serious Injuries
The remaining four family members, Isha, Lakab, Amjad, and Anam, were admitted to the hospital with severe wounds sustained from the explosion. They are currently receiving medical treatment and are in stable condition.
This heartbreaking incident has left the local community in shock and mourning the loss of the family members. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion and prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
