A tragic incident occurred near Kavalande in Nanjangud early on Tuesday when a worker from Bihar, identified as Manu Kumar, lost his life after being hit by a train. The 27-year-old was walking on the track on a video call when the unfortunate accident took place.
According to railway police, the train that struck Manu was coming from Chamarajanagar around 8 am. Sources revealed that Manu had made a video call to his wife at the time of the incident. He was employed as a helper to carpenters in Nanjangud, where he was residing and working.
The news of Manu’s untimely demise has shocked the local community in Mysuru. His body has been moved to the MMCRI mortuary as investigations into the incident continue. The loss of a young life in such a tragic manner has left many grieving and reflecting on the fragility of life.

In Jamtara, Jharkhand, two individuals lost their lives and several others were injured after being hit by a train. One of the deceased passengers was identified as Manish Kumar from Katihar district in Bihar.
In yet another incident, a man named Jitendra Kumar Pal was run over by a train in US Nagar. Jitendra, a night-duty operator, met with a fatal accident near the Mahuakhera Ganj railway crossing in Kashipur. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the train accident.
