Man Arrested in Seal Beach DUI Crash that Killed Passenger

A 39-year-old man from Los Angeles has been arrested in connection with a tragic DUI crash in Seal Beach early Monday morning. The incident, which resulted in the death of a female passenger, occurred at the intersection of Seal Beach Boulevard and North Gate Road.

According to the Seal Beach Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 2 a.m. to find an unresponsive female passenger who had been ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Victor Alfonso Campos Carranza, was taken to a hospital for treatment before being transported to Orange County Jail. He faces charges of felony DUI causing bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
